Engineering work is taking place between West Drayton and Slough, and between Reading and Reading West / Didcot Parkway / Theale, closing various lines.
All day on Saturday and Sunday, trains to / from London Paddington / Slough / Reading will run to an amended or reduced timetable. Trains between London Paddington and Bristol Temple Meads will run a reduced service, with some services calling additionally at Reading / Didcot Parkway.
On Saturday only, trains between London Paddington and Cheltenham Spa will run between Swindon and Cheltenham Spa only. Trains between London Paddington and Newbury will run between Reading and Newbury only.
On Sunday only, the following services are amended:
- The 07:38 London Paddington to Didcot Parkway service will not call at Pangbourne, and will use alternative platforms at Tilehurst, Goring & Streatley and Cholsey
- The 08:04 London Paddington to Penzance service will depart earlier at 07:51 and divert between Reading and Westbury via Swindon (not calling), this train will not call at Newbury and Pewsey
- The 08:06 Reading to Newbury service will not run and will be replaced by a bus (not calling at Newbury Racecourse)
- The 08:18 Didcot Parkway to London Paddington service will not call at Pangbourne, and will use alternative platforms at Cholsey, Goring & Streatley and Tilehurst
- The 08:33 Reading to Bedwyn service will start from Newbury at 09:02
- The 08:37 Reading to Basingstoke service will not run, and a rail replacement bus will run from Reading (departing 08:07) to Reading Green Park, Mortimer, Bramley and Basingstoke
- The 08:44 London Paddington to Penzance service will depart earlier at 08:33 and will call additionally at Newbury and Pewsey
- The 22:38 London Paddington to Didcot Parkway service (departing 22:38) will not call at Pangbourne, and will use alternative platforms at Tilehurst, Goring & Streatley and Cholsey
- The 23:31 London Paddington to Didcot Parkway service will not call at Pangbourne, and will use alternative platforms at Tilehurst, Goring & Streatley and Cholsey
- The 23:52 Didcot Parkway to London Paddington service will not call at Pangbourne, and will use alternative platforms at Cholsey, Goring & Streatley and Tilehurst
Rail replacement buses will run between Tilehurst and Pangbourne for affected services.
